The Humorization of EE

A Look Into How Lattice Semiconductor Makes Even FPGAs Funny

by Amelia Dalton

If anyone tells you that EE can't be funny, you send 'em my way! In this week's Fish Fry, I interview Chris Turman, one of the funniest engineers in the business, about how the culture at Lattice Semiconductor has allowed him the freedom to have fun and make people laugh about FPGAs. Yes, really.  Also this week, I check out the new pico-projector from Texas Instruments and Brookstone and report on why it may be fantastic and problematic at the same time.

Just one question: is humorization a word? The infusing of something with a humor? If so, which humor? Choler, perhaps? Bile? Can I coin the word "bilical"? (Not to strike an un-bilical chord...)

If you are not happy with your job, then or you got the wrong job, or you are doing it wrong! Its good to hear other people who enjoy as i do those little moments of joy at work, even if sometimes are just internal jokes about what what you are doing...

I don't need a key fob, but the red circuit board tie tack would go well with the circuit board tie I won earlier this year. I enjoy your Friday Fish Fry and hope to see you at a conference again!
